Reminder for setting up with our Wi-Fi 6 model: You cannot add a Vilo (Wi-Fi 5) router to a Vilo 6 (Wi-Fi 6) network or vice versa. When you try to add a new Vilo to an already existing network, if you have Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 networks active concurrently, you will be prompted to choose which network you are wanting to add the Sub-Vilo to.
Adding Sub-Vilos From The Same Package
Adding additional Vilos from the same package is as easy as plugging each Vilo into a power outlet. No configuration in the app is needed. Simply plug in the additional Vilo in your desired location and once the indicator light turns blue your Vilo has bound to your network! Setting Up Sub-Vilo routers From A Different Package
- If you just finished setting up your main Vilo and want to add an additional Vilo, you can press the “Add Another Vilo” button.
- If you are on the homepage of the Vilo app already, click the “+” button on the upper right corner and click “Add to an existing Wi-Fi network”.
- If you are on the “My Vilos” page of the app, click “+” at the bottom of the page.
The 3 ways above will direct you to the “Add Another Vilo” page. Click on “From a Different Package”, and follow the in-app instructions to set up another Vilo. For information on where to place your Vilos check out our placement guide.
